Beach
We offer lounge chairs and side tables for the enjoyment of our guests.
As a courtesy to all, we kindly request that you do not try to reserve the chairs by placing your towels or other personal items on chairs that are not actively in use. Please do not try to “claim” multiple beach chairs by leaving them unattended until you are ready to use them on the beach, especially during the early morning hours. We want everyone to enjoy the shade on the beach fairly and equally. If towels or personal items are left on chairs that are not actively in use for an extended period, our staff will remove those items so that other guests can enjoy the chairs. You will find your towels and personal items at the Front Desk. Also, please do not take chairs/loungers into the water at any time.
Every unit comes with complimentary beach towels for your convenience. Help us conserve the environment with a one-for-one swap for used towels. Leave them on the bathroom floor, and housekeeping will replace these with fresh ones throughout your stay. If fresh towels are needed ASAP, please visit the Front Desk anytime.
Our beach is home to the largest shallow snorkel reef on Seven Mile Beach, approximately 500 ft away. This proximity allows for easy entry and exit from the water, ensuring you can start snorkeling within minutes. Explore two sections of the reef, each offering a unique underwater experience. The first section, half the size of a football field, features lower, spread-out reef structures.
To the north, discover a smaller reef with a string of elevated coral heads, including the famous ‘lobster condo,’ home to several mature lobsters. Other species you may observe in the wild include Sharpnose Pufferfish, Hawksbill Turtles, Southern Stingrays, Peacock Flounder, Ocean Triggerfish, Yellowtail Snapper, Lionfish, Squirrel Fish, and Rainbow Parrotfish. Keep an eye out for Loggerhead Turtles, Spotted and Green Moray Eels, Nurse Sharks (no teeth), and Rockfish, depending on the time and season.
To access these remarkable reefs:
- Head north (or right) off our beach toward the Caribbean Club Condos.
- Continue past their pool until you reach the far three-story building, a short 250 feet walk.
- Turn straight out toward the horizon, spotting three small round white mooring balls just off the sand.
- Beyond the white mooring balls look for the vertical 200 yards marker buoy. This marks the outer edge of the reefs.
- Swim straight through those mooring balls, covering about 150 yards toward the horizon.
- Reach the edge of the reef, extending for another 100 yards.
- After exploring the larger reef section, swim north (laterally to the beach) around 100 feet to find the smaller reef, directly in front of the garage from the private house next to the Caribbean Club.
*Please be aware that there is no lifeguard on duty at any time on Casa Caribe beach. Guests who engage in activities in the waters off the beach do so at their own risk.
