Sea turtle nesting season is officially underway on Grand Cayman, and we are excited to welcome these incredible visitors back to our shores. Last year, Casa Caribe was fortunate to have six sea turtle nests on our beach. This year we’ve already recorded three nests!
If you are lucky enough to witness a nesting turtle or hatchlings, please help protect them by keeping a respectful distance of at least 50 ft and NEVER shine flashlights or flash photography towards them. Bright lights can confuse nesting turtles and hatchlings, drawing them away from the ocean. Help protect them by closing condo curtains or blinds at night to limit light shining toward the beach.
